Adele Pätz, born in 1997 in Dresden, Germany, is a baroque (and sometimes modern) violinist, violin teacher and music educator. She studied violin first at the Conservatorio di Musica G.B. Martini Bologna and then continued her studies in violin, musical pedagogy and music education at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden. Since 2021 she is creating interdisciplinary, multisensory and inclusive music projects for people of diverse backgrounds, ages and musical experience.

In 2024, when she co-founded camerata musikuss, she decided to specialize in baroque violin, initially with Anne Schumann in Dresden, and later continuing her studies with Luca Giardini at the G.B. Martini Conservatory of Music in Bologna. Further artistical inspiration she drew from Veronika Skuplik and Mechthild Karkow. In addition to her activities with camerata musikuss, she regularly performs with various chamber music ensembles, including Ensemble Sezione Aurea founded by Luca Giardini, the Leipzig baroque orchestra Ensemble Lachrymae and the Bologna Baroque Orchestra.

One of her great passions is the viola d’amore. She plays a delightful instrument from 1746, preserved entirely in its original condition, which she happened to come across on eBay Classifieds and on which she also performs as soloist. Generally, she would always prefer to explore music that has not yet been discovered or recorded and loves spending her time in the huge library of Padre Martini in Bologna – except in August, when she becomes a pear grower and delves deep into the trees to harvest the many varieties of pears.
