Hannes von Bargen received his early musical training with the Stuttgart Hymnus Boys’ Choir; he was a student at the Stuttgart Music High School and a young student at the HMDK Stuttgart. He is studying church music and Baroque violin at the HMT Leipzig and spent a year abroad at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Since fall 2026, he has been continuing his studies in the “Maestro al Cembalo” program at the HMDK Stuttgart and works as musical assistant to Kay Johannsen at the Stiftskirche in Stuttgart.

His most important teachers include Martin Schmeding, Thomaskantor Andreas Reize, Daniel Beilschmidt, Jörg Halubek, Bine Bryndorf, and David Titterington. In addition, he has participated in numerous master classes. He has received scholarships from the Ev. Studienwerk Villigst e.V., the DAAD, and Stiftsmusik Stuttgart.

He is also a sought-after continuo player and has performed with ensembles such as the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra, the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, and numerous Baroque ensembles. He directed the choir of the Evangelical Student Community in Leipzig as well as several children’s choirs. In 2026, he founded the vocal ensemble “Vox Convallis” in Stuttgart.
