Founded in 2023, Camerata Musikuss is an active early music ensemble from Dresden, Germany. Performing on historical instruments, they bring little known pieces from the baroque Era to life in an unique and vibrant way while making the music accessible to a diverse audience.
Playing on historical instruments or their replicas, the Ensemble unfolds a rich sound spectrum that is oriented on historical performance practice while still leaving room for an unique artistic interpretation. As such, the musicians don’t see themselves only as preservers but as interprets of baroque music tradition.
Concert tours led Camerata Musikuss to Italy, France and different regions of Germany, during which they had multiple occasions to connect with other ensembles from whole Europe. At the same time, the ensemble brings a steadily growing core audience together around Dresden.
The musicians received crucial musical influences from Anne Schumann, Luca Giardini and Bernhard Hentrich.
In 2025, the ensemble was granted the 2nd price at the Biagio-Marini competition for Early Music in Neustadt an der Donau.
The ensemble was invited to play in the “Fringe” program of the 2026 edition of the Festival Oude Muziek in Utrecht.
